TGC choose Ubisoft to release award winning title in Nordic territories
Critically-acclaimed platformer, Max and the Magic Marker, from TGC – The Games Company hits the Scandinavian countries, distributed by Ubisoft

The innovative independent title Max and the Magic Marker is currently available in the German speaking countries and via digital distribution platforms. TGCs young, red-haired hero, Max, designed and developed by Danish dev team Press Play, is now set to charm the retail markets across Scandinavia.

TGC – The Games Company and Ubisoft Nordic A/S have just signed a distribution agreement to bring the winner of the European Innovative Games Award to the retail market in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway, with localized versions.

There is a new rising star on the horizon of PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade - the press is full of positive words and rave reviews. The turn-based strategy game Greed Corp really hits the spot for strategy gamers with its innovative and brilliant gameplay.
The success of Greed Corp is now set to continue on PC with TGC – The Games Company and W!Games signing a worldwide publishing agreement. The PC version will be prepared especially for the traditional retail outlets in a multilingual version and offers an all new tutorial, improved campaign, simplified mouse controls and better graphics – and that’s not all as a lot of other enhancements will be introduced too.

For an unbeatable price of just 19,99 € / 19,99 $ strategy game fans will get a full price game with an extensive campaign and multiplayer battles for up to four players. Especially in the latter game mode, Greed Corp plays to its strengths offering atmospheric design and great attention to detail combined with a multitude of ways to fight your enemies with a wide range of tactics.
Greed Corp is only the beginning of a series of several games to come from the cool steampunk universe called „Mistbound“, and will be released this summer for an attractive price of just 19,99 € / 19,99 $. Further information on the title will be released soon.
The Afterfall universe celebrates its digital premiere with a third-person horror shooter to be launched early 2011
TGC – The Games Company secures the European rights on the tech and story driven horror-shooter Afterfall: Insanity.

There are big things on the horizon for fans of story based horror-shooters at the beginning of 2011. TGC announces the first game set in the popular Afterfall universe: Afterfall: Insanity.

Players face their destiny in the desolate ruins of once thriving cities and well-known areas - or to be more exact: in the sewers and tunnels beneath them. Decaying shelters and hideaways stage mankind’s struggle for survival after the nuclear holocaust from October 2012. Facing horrible mutants, bloodthirsty mercenaries and other threats, humanity fights for existence.

In this derelict world Afterfall: Insanity tells the hair-raising tale of a psychiatrist – the story’s hero - with unrivaled intensity. The intricate plot, defined by unpredictable events, story twists and narrative nuances are coupled with breathtaking graphics. Thanks to the latest Unreal engine, Afterfall: Insanity is full of stunning effects and skillfully crafted levels, which creates a dark and coherent atmosphere packed with thrilling fights against impressive enemies.

Today TGC – The Games Company, announce the upcoming EU wide release of the innovative action platform game Max & the Magic Marker on PC, which won a recent award at the European Innovative Games Award
2009. This spring, Max and his cool magic marker will deliver hours of fun to play and experience some extraordinary charm and challenges that nobody could resist.

A virtual gadget – a simple marker – is the hook between the player and the cartoon styled boy Max, who has to face, confront, and control himself in a classical Jump`n Run setting within a fantastic children’s book environment.

A vast mixture of different traps, monsters and puzzles to solve are out of control, and Max and his marker have to take care of this mess and show creativity to sort things out. The game experience you will face offers total enjoyment for creative players, who could use the uniqueness of the innovative gameplay to approach and solve 15 challenging levels in an individual manner.

Max & the Magic Marker will drag you into the game’s timeless Jump´n Run elements; its puzzles and physics fun, created by the Danish Studio Press Play. This highly talented team has created an adorable and loveable character Max, who will fascinate his viewer instantly. TGC wins at EIGA 2009
Berlin publisher gets European Innovative Games Award 2009 for trend-setting community solution.

TGC – The Games Company were able to stand up to their European competitors at the presentation of the European Innovative Games Award 2009 for “Application Methods & Environments“. The Berlin publisher received the award for their White Label Community last Friday in Frankfurt at the formal prize giving ceremony taking place at the Browser Games Forum 2009. More than 70 projects from all parts of Europe had been submitted.

With the White Label Community, TGC’s internal Studio Silver Style Entertainment is currently developing a new kind of online social community with integrated learning and gaming environment. The social component of traditional applications is enhanced by useful content broadening the user’s mental horizon. It is not necessary to install any software, as the „White Label Community“ runs within the browser – without loss of graphic quality.

„Being awarded at EIGA 2009 confirms once again that our internal development studio Silver Style Entertainment can easily stand comparison with international companies and performs at a top level”, says Carsten Strehse, CEO at TGC. „The award is a further incentive for us to press ahead with the development of our innovative community solution.”
TGC wins German games award “LARA”
Berlin based Publisher TGC has won the coveted award for his adventure game “WSB5: Beyond the Horizon”.

TGC - The Games Company was one of the winners at this year’s award ceremony of the "LARA - The German Games Award 2009". The adventure “WSB5: Beyond the Horizon”, developed at TGCs company-owned studio Silver Style Entertainment, was able to stand up to its competitors and be bestowed at Cologne’s Coloneum with the “LARA Movie Award” for the best movie game of a major film production.

The quality of the adaptation of the fifth adventure movie of the popular “Wild Soccer Bunch”-series provides popcorn-feeling on home PCs. Players experience a fantastic adventure with the original screen heroes, which thanks to its original riddles and detailed graphics will not only delight WSB-fans but also adventure players.
